About Me

I am Kelly Ma, a senior at American University in Washington, D.C., pursuing a Bachelor’s in Public Relations & Strategic Communications with a minor in International Business. Originally from Belize and having lived in China and the United States, my diverse experiences fueled my resolve to address systemic inequities through strategic communications.

From securing an F1 Visa at age 12 to studying in major U.S. cities, my journey has been driven by a commitment to advocacy and education. These formative experiences exposed me to significant disparities in healthcare, education, and business, sparking my passion for creating change through effective communication.

Professionally, I have developed a robust skill set through roles at American University's administrative offices and a marketing management internship at the Kennedy Center. These roles enhanced my capabilities in media relations, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement across various cultural and industry contexts.

Focused on global business development, sustainable strategies, and ethical AI integration, I am dedicated to leveraging communications to advocate for responsible business practices that promote societal well-being.
